Which Schwalbe Tires are Better for Touring, Marathon Plus or Mondial?

Every cycling touring person that travel by bike have have important question to answer before the bike trip will start. Which tires are good enough for my trip? As I am traveling the world by bike I am using Schwalbe tires – Marathon Plus, but now I’ve changed them for Schwalbe Mondial. I really like them and can say they are really good. After advice from Paul I tried Mondial tires and I can now say they are bit better and here i this blog I will explain why.

Before I was using many other kinds of tires not only for touring. I love cycling at all and I did MTB, road, touring and also just cycling in a town to work and home. Can compare many of them. When I started with this nothing cannot beat Michelin MTB tires, but things changed once I’ve started travleing with 28″ wheels. Read some revies get confused, but in the end I did a risky decision and went for Schwalbe Marathon Plus. Here are some pluses and minuses of these tires.

Schwalbe Marathon Plus

I find these tires really good, but in warm weather and under the weight the material of tire wears thin. Problem was with mounting the tires that is really difficult, Imagine is hot, you’re tired and you have to push a lot of energy to put off and on the tires back. It stands me for a months on front wheel where was less
